Shop for a Week

22 November - 8 December 2013
Kerkstraat 163, Amsterdam

Shop for a Week is a recurring temporary shop & gallery full of natural design, plants, flowers, objects of art and unique pieces for interior decoration initiated by The Wunderkammer. The most recent Shop for a Week named ‘Treasury took place in Amsterdam and brought the roots of the concept of this pop up store once again to life. ‘Treasury’ was a place where Master florist Florian Seyd and Ueli Signer revealed their newest collections of treasured objects; found on their many travels abroad, created by befriended artists or by themselves.

This eleventh edition of the shop focussed on collections, collecting, treasures; mostly shown in tones of black, white and complemented with metal colors such as bronze, gold, brass and copper. Expect to see a vintage beetle collection, new cabinets designed by Ueli Signer and experience The Wunderkammer’s view on seasonal decoration. Think of a winter wonderland created with nature’s beauties, complemented by smaller objects such as hand made traditional German tin ornaments, ceramic sculptured animals to be used as candle holders, tea pots or glassware in black and whites.
